Meet Kristina
Army Veteran and Former Prosecutor
Kristina Sargent is a trial attorney, Army veteran and former prosecutor who launched her campaign for Sarasota County Commission on October 1, 2025. The eldest of seven and a young single mother who put herself through college, she served more than 15 years in the U.S. Army, then prosecuted serious cases in Baltimore and the Sarasota–Bradenton area before founding a Florida law firm. She's running to make county government transparent, accountable, and focused on the people it serves.
Save Our Sarasota
Where She Stands
Responsible Growth, Responsible Government. Kristina will protect sarasota families and fight for the platform that helps reduce your tax burden — starting with the issues that matter most in District 2.
Smart Growth & Infrastructure
Sarasota's growth can't outrun its roads, water, and services. I'll fight for infrastructure that keeps pace with development and protects the quality of life that brought us here.
Accountability for Every Tax Dollar
County spending has exploded while families tighten their belts. As a former prosecutor, I'll demand a full accounting of where your money goes — and stop the waste.
Conservative, Common-Sense Leadership
I'll bring conservative principles and practical judgment to every vote: lower the burden on taxpayers, respect residents' priorities, and put Sarasota first.
Transparent & Accountable Government
Government works for you, not the other way around. I'll push for open books, public scrutiny of major spending, and commissioners who answer to residents, not insiders.
Public Safety
I've stood in courtrooms protecting victims. I'll make sure our deputies and first responders have the support they need to keep every neighborhood safe.
Protecting Sarasota's Water and Infrastructure from Regional Impacts
I will advocate to create a taskforce for regional review of major infrastructure projects that may impact shared water supplies, energy systems, and natural resources.
